Composite Doors

More and more people are opting for our composite doors, The reason they are so popular is that they have the look of wood but all the benefits of modern composite materials. They are one of the most heavy duty and strongest doors on the market today. They come in 11 colours including the popular chartwell green and grey, have superior thermal insulation properties and are truly resistant to rain, sun, heat, drafts and cold. They are a totally maintenance free solution.

The solid colour GRP through colour skin means you'll never have to paint your composite door again and any knocks or scratches will simply not show. GRP skins give the door a long life performance; it is a very hard wearing material and is in fact the same material used to make the hulls of jet skis and boats!

All of our composite doors exceed the current building regulations for energy efficiency, which came into force in October 2010, and covered front doors for the first time. Under the legislation, all new doors sold and fitted in England and Wales must have a U-value of 1.8W/m2K (1.6W/m2K in Scotland) or less. The door’s U-value is a measure of its energy efficiency, and the lower the U-value, the more energy efficient the door.

Choosing thermal glass on your composite doors makes them even more energy efficient, with an ultimate U-value of just 1 W/m2K. This 1.8 U-value has been a requirement for windows for some years, but is now applied to doors, although most manufacturers do not provide proof.

High Security Locks

You can alter the fixtures and fittings on the door. There is the option to have a Winkhaus AV2 "Slam Lock" as standard The new 'Slam Lock' option changes the way that doors work. In the past the hooks on doors with multipoint locks engage by having to lift the handle. With Slam Lock the hooks engage the moment the door is closed.
